Nick Fury Was Modelled After Samuel L. Jackson Long Before He Ever Took The Role.
Nick Fury
Although some actors seem like they were made to play certain parts (*cough* Robert Downey Jr. and Tony Stark *cough*), in other cases, it can seem like parts were made for certain actors to play. Such is the case for Samuel L. Jackson and Nick Fury, except that it doesn't just seem like it. Nick Fury actually was based on Samuel L. Jackson. In 2000, the comic book character Nick Fury was purposefully modeled after Samuel L. Jackson by creators Mark Millar and Bryan Hitch. And we see why. Samuel L. Jackson exudes badassery, and if Nick Fury is anything, he's a badass. So, when it came time to cast who'd play Nick Fury in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, it was a pretty darn easy choice.

That Final Kiss Between Jane And Thor In Thor 2 Was Actually Shot With Chris Hemsworth's Wife.
Jane And Thor
One of the most memorable scenes from Thor: The Dark World was the final kissing scene between Jane Foster and Thor when Thor comes back to Earth to visit her in London. But apparently, Natalie Portman wasn't actually on set to film this epic scene. As a replacement, Chris Hemsworth suggested his wife, Elsa Pataky. The result? The most passionate kissing scene in the entire movie. And now that we know it was two actual spouses filming it, we kind of get why. It must be pretty hard to get really into kissing scenes with a colleague, even if the said colleague is Natalie Portman. But if your kissing partner is your actual partner? Piece of cake. Just make like it's your anniversary and make the heck out.

That Epic Dancing Scene With Baby Groot At The Beginning Of Guardians 2 Took Two Years To Make.
Baby Groot
Two freaking years!? Holy moly. That's a lot of time to devote to a scene featuring an infantilized sequoia busting out some moves. But hey, having seen the final result at the beginning of Guardians of the Galaxy 2, we have to say that it was 500% worth it. Like, we're pretty sure that's the best scene in the movie, if not the best scene in any movie. As director James Gunn told the Toronto Sun, “It took over two years of planning and acting out... I first came up with the shot when I was writing the treatment for the film. I had my associate producer Simon Hatt film me as Groot with an iPhone so we could stitch it together so that it would work perfectly." So, an iPhone video exists in which James Gunn does the Baby Groot dance? Instead of another Iron Fist season, could we see that?

Marisa Tomei (Aunt May) And Robert Downey Jr. (Iron Man) Dated At One Point, And He Recommended Her For Aunt May.
Marisa Tomei
Captain America: Civil War was not the first film to feature Robert Downey Jr. and Marisa Tomei starring together in the same movie. In fact, these actors have known each other for a very long time. Way back in 1994, they starred opposite each other in the movie Only You, playing each other's love interests. Set in Italy, the movie is a sweet story about a woman who seeks her soul mate, who—you guessed it—ends up being a young, baby-faced Robert Downey Jr. What's even crazier is that these two were actually romantic partners in real life for a while, and although their relationship didn't last, they apparently ended things on good terms, as Marisa Tomei has said that Robert Downey Jr. recommended her for the role of Peter Parker's Aunt May.

Chris Evans turned down the role of Captain America twice.

Chris Evans turned down the role of Captain America twice before accepting it because he initially wasn't comfortable taking on that level of commitment and fame.

Robert Downey Jr not as Iron Man.
Robert Downey
Iron Man director Jon Favreau insisted that Robert Downey Jr star in it, despite the suggestion being turned down at first.

Peter Quill's Ship.
Peter Quills
The ship in Guardians of the Galaxy is called Milano after Peter Quill’s childhood crush, Alyssa Milano.

Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch.
Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch
Because the characters of Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch belong to the X-Men franchise as well as the Avengers one, they can’t be referred to as mutants, or have their dad Magneto referenced in Avengers: Age of Ultron. So in the film, they’re both called “enhanced” and the story of their creation is changed.

Rachel McAdams as Pepper Potts.

Before appearing in Doctor Strange, Rachel McAdams was considered years ago for Pepper Potts in Iron Man but declined.

He's a friend from work!
He's a friend from work
The "He's my friend from work!" line in Thor: Ragnarok was suggested by a child from the Make a Wish Foundation who was visiting the set that day

The final end credit scene was actually added because Robert Downey Jr. insisted on a scene rewrite.
Robert Downey
After Tony Stark falls back to Earth, he originally awakens and asks, "What's next?" Robert Downey Jr. thought the line could be more interesting, and the idea of going to a local shawarma restaurant was born. The scene was added one day after the global premiere. Since then, shawarma sales in Los Angeles, St. Louis, and Boston have reportedly skyrocketed.

Red Skull reference to Indiana Jones movie.
Red Skull
When Red Skull finds the Tesseract in Captain America: The First Avenger, he says that The Fuhrer is too busy digging for trinkets in the desert. This line is a reference to the Indiana Jones movie Raiders of the Lost Ark.
